Joe Lawson is a further qualified and registered farrier, having achieved the Associate of the Worshipful Company of Farriers (AWCF) designation in 2019. He also earned the prestigious title of Master Farrier. More information about the Associate qualification is available at www.wcf.org.uk/awcf.
With over a decade of farriery experience, Joe possesses an in-depth knowledge of shoeing for a diverse range of equine disciplines. His custom vehicle setup allows for a versatile service, providing the best farriery for your equine using high-quality products. He places a strong emphasis on crucial support and balance to achieve optimum biomechanics for the horse, whether they are in a performance/competition setting or a leisure capacity.
Being an Associate demonstrates that Joe has reached a high practical and technical level of farriery, a key skill set for everyday work as well as specialist remedial farriery.
Joe is passionate about helping horses not only perform at their best but also assisting them when lameness and physical ailments occur. He has a broad knowledge of modern farriery techniques and experience working alongside veterinarians to help horses return to soundness, dealing with conditions ranging from laminitis and arthritis to surgical aftercare and more.
Joe combines this experience with a patient and caring approach to the horses in his service, supported by chief hoof connoisseur, Bella the Labrador, and Bonnie, the waste disposal intern.
